Every lab at the Centre of Excellence is anchored to a curriculum framework, not just equipment. This page maps how: from NCERT content and ATL Tinkering Lab activities to CBSE Skill Subjects and Kaushal Bodh, brought together through hands on, project based, experiential learning.
None of these four run in isolation. Together, they are interdisciplinary, subject‑integrated, project‑based, experiential and child‑centric: one curriculum, taught as one experience.
Tap a pillar above to see what it means in the classroom.
Operationally aligned under the National Education Policy 2020 (Government of India, Ministry of Education).Interdisciplinary learning brings knowledge and skills from different subjects together around one meaningful theme or question. Children understand that real-world problems do not belong to a single subject.
Students explore water through Science (water cycle and conservation), Mathematics (water usage and data), Social Science (community water resources), English (research and communication), and Art (awareness campaigns).
Children connect ideas across subjects, think critically, communicate effectively, and understand real-world issues from multiple perspectives.
Subject-integrated learning connects different concepts, skills and areas within a subject to build deeper understanding, rather than teaching each concept in isolation.
While studying plants, students observe growth, identify parts of a plant, measure changes over time, record observations, and explain the conditions needed for healthy growth.
Children develop deeper conceptual understanding by observing, applying, recording and explaining what they learn.
Project-based learning gives children an opportunity to investigate a meaningful question or problem and create something based on their learning.
Students identify the everyday problem of clothes getting wet in unexpected rain, explore rain sensors and circuits, program a microcontroller, and develop a working prototype.
Children develop problem-solving, creativity, collaboration, design thinking and application of knowledge.
Experiential learning begins with doing, observing and experiencing, followed by reflection and understanding. Children learn concepts by connecting them to situations they can see, touch, test and experience.
Instead of learning circuits only from diagrams, students build simple circuits, test different components, observe what happens when connections change, and explain their findings.
Children develop conceptual understanding, curiosity, observation skills and the confidence to learn through exploration.
Child-centric learning recognises that every child is a learner with different interests, abilities, experiences and learning needs. Teachers guide and scaffold learning while giving children meaningful opportunities to question, choose, explore and express.
After exploring a story, children may choose to retell it, draw it, dramatise it, create a comic, or record their own narration.
Children develop confidence, voice, creativity, independence and ownership of their learning.
Every subject and lab at the Centre of Excellence sits under one of these four pillars. Each links to its official framework below; MMS specific data for each is being added section by section.
The core academic curriculum, Pre-Primary to Class XII, following NCERT textbooks and the CBSE syllabus.
The school's own enrichment layer: eleven labs and ATL Tinkering activities that extend NCERT content hands on.
NCERT's mandatory skill education programme for Classes VI to VIII, under NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023.
Examinable CBSE Skill Subjects from Class IX onward: 22 options at Classes 9 to 10, 38 at Classes 11 to 12.
No lab stands alone. Each one draws from a specific curriculum source, and layers in interdisciplinary connections from the others, Kaushal Bodh included.
Runs on NCERT curriculum content, Pre-Primary to Class 12, delivered through immersive VR and AR simulations.
View lab →Runs on Atal Tinkering Lab content: open ended build, robotics and design challenges across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics.
View lab →Runs on CBSE Skill Subjects in the Automotive stream, applied hands on through vehicle systems, design and build projects.
View lab →Runs on NCERT Physics, Chemistry and Biology curriculum, delivered through experiments and discovery.
View lab →Runs on NCERT Mathematics curriculum, explored through models, manipulatives and hands on problem solving.
View lab →Runs on CBSE Skill Subjects in Electronics & Hardware, Artificial Intelligence and IT, applied through circuits, robotics and embedded systems.
View lab →Runs on CBSE Skill Subjects in Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, building computing fundamentals and digital literacy.
View lab →Runs on CBSE Skill Subjects in Information Technology, layered with language and communication practice, including the Language Lab and Korea collaboration.
View lab →Runs on NCERT curriculum content alongside the ISRO Registered Space Tutor Programme, covering rocketry, satellites and India's space journey.
View lab →Runs on Kaushal Bodh's Human Services domain: nutrition, food safety and kitchen practice as life skills.
View lab →The umbrella lab: not a separate room, every lab above contributes to it. Brings together Kaushal Bodh and the full CBSE Skill Subjects framework.
View lab →The base layer for every classroom at MMS: NCERT textbooks and the CBSE syllabus, followed Pre-Primary through Class XII. Every other pillar builds on top of this, rather than replacing it, with labs and skill modules used to teach the same NCERT concepts hands on.

MMS's own enrichment curriculum: eleven labs and Atal Tinkering Lab activities that turn NCERT and skill concepts into hands on, project based work, from VR and robotics to space science and culinary practice. See the lab to framework mapping below for how each one connects.
This pillar has no external prescribing body; it is MMS's own design, built to integrate Pillars 1, 3 and 4 into a single experience.

Kaushal Bodh is NCERT's mandatory skill education programme for Classes VI to VIII, introduced under NEP 2020 and NCF-SE 2023. It runs across three domains: Life Forms, Machines & Materials, and Human Services, drawing on a bank of skill modules that range from AI and coding to first aid, gardening and craft.
At MMS, Kaushal Bodh modules are woven into the relevant labs above rather than taught in isolation, so the skill and the subject are learned together.
