வித்யா என்றால் “அறிவு”, ஆரம்பம் என்றால் “துவக்கம்” — why Vijayadashami is considered the most auspicious day to begin a child’s learning journey.

விஜயதசமி என்பது ஆயுத பூஜை, சரஸ்வதி பூஜை தினங்களுக்குப் பின் வருவது
அறிவுக்கும் கற்றலுக்கும் வெற்றி நாளாகக் கொண்டாடப்படும் சிறப்பு தினம்.
வித்யாரம்பம் விழாவானது ( வித்யா என்றால் “அறிவு”, ஆரம்பம் என்றால் “துவக்கம்”)
இந்த நாளில் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கல்வி பயிற்சியை துவக்குவது பாரம்பரியமாக மிகவும் சிறந்தது எனக் கருதப்படுகிறது.

Most schools lock a child into Science, Commerce or Arts as a fixed package once they reach the senior classes. At MMS, subjects are chosen individually, on interest and aptitude, so a future engineer can still study Economics, and a future entrepreneur can still study Physics, instead of being boxed into someone else's idea of a stream.

Eligibility

Who can apply

MMS admits students from Pre-KG through Class XII, under the CBSE curriculum, plus an open-schooling pathway for older students.

Admission is open across every stage of school, from Pre-KG and Kindergarten through Primary (Classes 1 to 5), Middle School (Classes 6 to 8), Secondary (Classes 9 and 10) and Senior Secondary (Classes 11 and 12), all under the CBSE curriculum. Age eligibility for each class follows the standard CBSE and Tamil Nadu government norms for that academic year.

Older students joining outside the usual age window, or looking for a more flexible board, can apply instead through the NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) pathway MMS has run since 2016, for Class 10 and Class 12: a government recognised alternative that still comes with full access to the MMS campus and Centre of Excellence.

Is admission open now, and from which class?

Yes. Admissions for Academic Year 2027-28 are open from Pre-KG onwards. Mathakondapalli Model School runs from Pre-KG to Class 12.
