MMS Secretary Mr. Meru M., together with the school's Academic and Administration team, met Dean (Industry Relations) Prof. Dr. R. Dhanasekaran and Principal Prof. Dr. R. Radhakrishnan of Adhiyamaan College of Engineering (ACE) to discuss innovation support, educational research, experiential learning and knowledge sharing between the two institutions.
The conversation centred on ERTDU, the Centre of Excellence's own Educational, Research, Training and Development Unit, and on the experiential, project-based learning already running across the Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, STEAM and Robotics classrooms. Both sides explored how an engineering college and a NEP 2020 aligned school could support each other through reciprocal school-level projects, shared inquiry and mentoring, and a stronger bridge between classroom learning and real-world engineering practice.
No formal agreement was signed at this stage. Both sides came away with a shared intent to build towards a fuller association, starting with smaller pilot projects between the two campuses.

Students showcase their Centre of Excellence projects to Adhiyamaan College faculty and students, part of the same growing school-college association.
Issued by the Principal, Mathakondapalli Model School, to the Principal, Adhiyamaan College of Engineering, formally expressing MMS's willingness to associate with ACE for guidance in Atal Tinkering Lab (ATL) activities, innovation, emerging technologies, design thinking, entrepreneurship and hands-on learning.

In December 2025, MMS students and staff travelled to Alliance University, Bengaluru, for Alliance NOVA Fest, a national platform bringing together ProtoNova, NovaQuest, MindForge and NovaBlast. MMS took part with project exhibits from the Automobile Lab (CoE), alongside quiz, debate and dance events.
The Solar & Electric Car, designed and built at the Automobile Lab (CoE), was the most highlighted and discussed exhibit at the MMS stall, with visitors, faculty and fellow students queuing up for a ride. Alongside it, student teams presented the Smell-O-Vision exhibit and the Autopilot Car, walking visitors through the electronics and wiring behind each build.
Beyond the exhibition, MMS students represented the school in the quiz, debate and dance events held as part of the fest, with Jeevika V reaching the debate finals. While the team did not place among the winners this time, the exhibits and performances drew strong appreciation from Alliance University faculty and visitors, and gave students valuable exposure to a national level, university hosted event. Tr. Prabakaran M and Ms. Saliha accompanied the students throughout the fest.

MMS represents its Centre of Excellence at the CBSE Skill Expo, showcasing vocational and skill-based projects built across the Automobile, Electrical & Electronics, and Composite Skill labs.
An MMS student innovation project, LiFi Road Safety, qualified at the CBSE Science Expo regional round and went on to represent the school at the national level in New Delhi, presented on stage as part of IRIS, the Initiative for Research and Innovation in STEM.
The project uses Li-Fi (Light Fidelity), where data is transmitted as light instead of radio waves, to build a visible light communication system for road safety alerts. A PAM8403 audio amplifier board drives an LED transmitter to send an audio signal as light; a receiver unit, powered by twin solar panels through a battery management system (BMS), picks up the light signal with a photodiode and plays it back through a speaker, demonstrated on a working scale road model.

MMS is open to partnering with other institutions setting up their own Composite Skill Lab under the CBSE mandate. We share CBSE's official setup guidelines document and offer hands on guidance drawn from our own rollout, from lab layout to equipment planning.

Beyond college campuses and expos, MMS also takes students directly into industry, connecting classroom STEM learning with real world engineering and manufacturing practice. The first visit under this program took the Centre of Excellence to Ather Energy Ltd, as part of the school's National Science Day 2025 celebrations.
On 27 February 2025, five MMS teachers and 42 students of Class 9 visited the Ather Energy Ltd manufacturing facility as part of the school's National Science Day celebrations. The visit gave students first hand exposure to how the STEM concepts they learn in the classroom come together in the design, engineering and manufacturing of electric vehicles.
Students saw first hand how physics, mechanics and electronics come together on a live production line, from vehicle assembly to metallurgy and quality testing.
The visit highlighted Ather's approach to electric mobility and sustainable manufacturing, giving students a clearer picture of how innovation drives the shift towards cleaner transport.
Guided through the shop floor in safety gear, students observed the rigorous safety protocols and quality checks built into every stage of the manufacturing process.
Interacting with Ather's engineers and staff gave students a real sense of workplace culture and opened their eyes to career pathways in engineering and the EV industry.
The visit closed with a tour of the Ather Experience Centre, where students explored the company's product showcase and got a closer look at the engineering behind Ather's scooters, rounding off a day that connected classroom learning to real world industry practice.
