Mathakondapalli Model School has recognised the importance of working actively and collaboratively with parents. The importance of involving parents in their children’s education has been documented consistently.
We focus on healthy relationships and keeping children safe in the modern world. Our support to children covers a wide range of topics relating to physical and mental health, wellbeing, safeguarding and healthy relationships. Learning about the emotional, social, and physical aspects of growing up, which will give young people the information, skills, and positive values to have safe, fulfilling relationships and will help them take responsibility for their own well-being.
Parents and schoolteachers/ counsellors communicate with one another to assist the child/student about varying concerns such as new school transitions, special needs, family transitions, and crisis situations.
It is our experience that the children have greater academic achievement when their parents are involved in their child’s education. Parental involvement is critical component in helping a child becomes a successful student. Often, both parents and teachers/ counsellors communicate information with one another that support the needs of the student. Additionally, school counsellors help parents connect with the appropriate other experts like medical doctors, therapy centres, resources, special sports, and other coaching centres etc. when the need arises.
The parents can always contact the school office to fix an appointment with the school psychologists and / or paediatricians for either person to person consultation or for online consultation.
